Hi everybody, hope you are all
well.
Just wanted to let you know that the Rubettes featuring
Alan Williams are enjoying a real upturn in fortune and will be performing in
Holland later this year.
It has been quite a while since we've had the chance to
visit but we've been working very hard and things are definitely turning round
for us right across Europe Oct 27th we will be in Bergen Op Zoom, then on
December 7th we're somewhere in Rotterdam.
For those of you who don't mind travelling you can find
us in Verviers on May 5th, Vostertfeesten Bree on August 19th and the massive
Sport Palais show in Antwerp Dec 8th. We also have a big gig lined up at
Stadhalle, Metzingen in Germany on Nov 24th.

Latest. November 2006.
Success at last. As many of you know Alan has fought long and hard
for some years now to preserve and protect the reputation and good
name of the Rubettes from those who wanted to destroy it by
masquerading as something they are not. It was proved first in the
High Court in London and then again in the Appeals Court which is the
highest court in England that Bill Hurd ex Rubettes keyboardist had
been doing just that by allowing his band to be know and publicised
as the Rubettes on many occasions. Hopefully now all that will stop
and audiences won't be cheated anymore by being told that the people
on stage who nobody can recognise are the Rubettes when it is pretty
obvious that they don't look like them and don't even sound like
them. I know because I have been to one of their concerts.
I am told by Alan that Bill must also pay him the costs of all his
legal expenses and even more when they find out how much damage has
been done to Alan and the Rubettes reputation because of what Bill
had been doing.
Alan is naturally delighted by the verdict of the Court which agreed
with him that what Bill was doing was wrong and should not be allowed
to continue. Let's hope that all those people that booked Bill and
his band without knowing what they were getting also agree and don't
make the same mistake again.
Don't forget if you see the Rubettes advertised make sure you know
what you are getting before you buy a ticket. You know what Alan,
John, Mick and Mark look like so don't make the same mistake as many
have in the past and end up disappointed.

Merry Christmas,
Another year gone. It happened so fast we didn't even see it. I
know we haven't been to the Netherlands this year but I suppose you
can have too much of a good thing. Indications are that we will be
coming next year so hope to see you all again then. I'm looking
forward to the usual family Christmas as no doubt you are too. It's
going to be a cold one this year I'm told so wrap up warm. John,
Mick and Mark all send their love as do I and wish you all the best
for the new year.

"Hi everybody, I hope that everyone is doing well
in Holland.Christmas is approaching fast again so I'd like to wish you all a
very happy time. I'm writing this message from Germany where I've been clearing
snow from the path outside my house. It's the law ! However, if there's snow
there on Christmas day, I'm not going outside to clear it !!
I hope that the band will visit the Netherlands often next year. Make sure you
come and say hello if we're near your town
